Blue Jay Valley began on the playground, where five friends — Mike Yellen (12), Josh Lawrence (12), Obi Esegbona (12), Noa Lawson (11), and Alex Yellen (10) — bonded over their shared love of music and decided to start a band. Their first performance took place at the school talent show on June 23, 2023, where their energy and sound captured the crowd.

On March 1, 2024, they released their debut record We Like to Rock — a four-song EP pressed on Sky Blue Vinyl and featuring all original tracks.

Now, Blue Jay Valley is gearing up for their next release: their brand-new single “Breakaway,” coming Fall 2025.
